Hi, my name is Jo and welcome to part 2 of my 3 part series for Hypnosis for Weight loss.
I went from weighing nearly a 100kgs to losing weight and struggling to keep it off for over a decade, to now easily maintaining my weight and never dieting again. That led me to become a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach and now an Accredited Hypnotherapist.
Why you can’t lose weight
In Part 1 I discussed the frustration of trying to lose weight and going round in circles.
In Part 2 I am going to tell you why most traditional starvation diets fail and in part 3, how you can lose weight using my Foundation of Food Program utilising your powerful unconscious mind.
The truth is your body works against your desire to lose weight. It simply doesn’t know the difference between your latest diet for fat loss and famine. At first weight comes off easily but over time your body starts to resist weight loss as a powerful survival instinct.
As a result it will compel you to eat food by making you obsessed with the thought of it. Eventually the desire gets too much and the inevitable binge results. Your body will then continue to demand food until you have put all the weight back on and probably a little bit of extra. Leaving you weighing more than ever.
Over time on and off dieting causes you to put on weight.
It can feel like a frustratingly hopeless situation.
It’s not your fault
As you can see, traditional starvation diets are not the best way to lose weight. Don’t blame yourself though, your body is doing you a wonderful service by keeping you alive against what it perceives as starvation.
